Binance Faces Major Backlash Amid Poor Token Performance

In recent times, Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally, has been facing significant scrutiny and distrust from its user base. This follows a pattern of poor performance by tokens listed on the exchange, leading to widespread dissatisfaction and calls for a boycott.

Binance is facing significant backlash from users who are calling for a boycott due to the poor performance of tokens listed on the exchange. In 2025, 89% of the tokens listed recorded negative returns, and most tokens listed in 2024 also experienced negative performance. Listing on Binance, once considered a “launchpad” for new projects, no longer guarantees success. A prime example is the ACT token, which quickly plummeted after being listed. Earlier this week, a major market maker dumped a large amount of ACT, exerting strong downward pressure on its price.

42% of Brazilian Investors Have Bought Crypto – Survey

Almost half of Brazilian investors have invested in crypto, with adoption rising in Latin America. The survey, conducted by Locomotiva and commissioned by Binance, found that most respondents were seeking big returns on their investments. Interest in cryptoassets has now surpassed demand for stocks, private pensions, government bonds, and foreign currencies.
